Danny Elfman

Biographie :

Il est le compositeur préféré (et quasi attitré) de Tim Burton dont il aura composé la plupart des livrets parmi lesquels la bande originale de Pee-Wee Big Adventure, d'Edward aux mains d'argent et de l'Étrange Noël de Monsieur Jack, film dans lequel Danny Elfman a par ailleurs prêté sa voix à trois personnages : Jack (pour les chants), Gram (l'un des trois enfants) et le clown. Après trois années de brouille avec Burton liées au tournage de ce film d'animation, il compose la musique de Mars Attacks!, puis celle de Sleepy Hollow. Il prête à nouveau sa voix à des personnages dans Charlie et la chocolaterie où il interprète les voix des Oompas Loompas pendant les chants et dans Les Noces funèbres pour la voix de Bonejangles.

Il a composé les thèmes de la série animée télévisée Les Simpson de Matt Groening ainsi que des séries Les Contes de la crypte et Desperate Housewives.

Dans les années 1980, il menait un groupe de rock appelé Oingo Boingo.
